Hey guys. I'm wondering if my computer can run 3ds Max? Here are the requirements:

    Hardware
    Minimum requirements for 32-bit versions:

Intel® Pentium® IV or AMD Athlon® XP or higher processor
512 MB RAM (1 GB recommended)
500 MB swap space (2 GB recommended)
    Hardware-accelerated OpenGL® and Direct3D supported
Microsoft Windows-compliant pointing device (optimized for Microsoft IntelliMouse®)
    DVD-ROM drive

    Here's my System:

    Intel Celeron M 1.60Ghz
    1278 MB RAM
    60GB HD
    256 X200M Xpress

Can it run it decently? There will be 0 rendering, so I only need it to model. Thanks.

Of course, Pentium 4 is much older, then Celeron-M, you should have no problem running the program.

My real concern is my video card. I just hope it can run it. You see a few friends and I have started working on a HL1 Mod and I can't find enough 3D Modlers so I'm going to try and see what I can do.

It should run it alright, but it won't be fast. For game modeling, it should be fine. Just don't expect to get horribly complex (over probably 50k triangle) models running with any speed.

It won't be the fastest as rendering times, and as far as you aren't concerned with that, then you should have no problem in the least. I have run it on an AMD Athlon XP 2400+ with 512mb Ram, and it ran extremely well.
