Hello, Recently reformatted a friends laptop (VGN-AR810E sony vaio)with windows vista ultimate x64. was fully aware of lack of driver support provided from sony. managed to get every driver to install other than the Synaptics touchpad driver, the FN buttons (brightness zoom and sleep), and the "S1/S2" buttons(along with the OSD program from sony that displays w/e when you press butons like the volume up/down)

Everything works right now other than the FN buttons. The volume, and media buttons work, the touchpad and keyboard work, etc. (don't really care about the FN buttons or the OSD saying volume up/down etc)

When i install ANY touchpad driver from Synaptics (because the sony provided ones will not even load because they aren't for x64 or for w/e reason) the keyboard stops working.

im sure this is a simple mapping problem and probably something stupid but if anyone could offer any help i'd be greatful.

i've tried installing the touchpad drivers (5+ different versions all for x64, all work but disable the keyboard) and uninstalling/reinstalling the keyboard drivers after rebooting with the new touchpad drivers, then rebooting again, always having to use the OSK to login got really annoying so i said f-it and decied to post here for help if any is available.

sorry for broken english and long read, and thanks in advance for any help.
