I have the latest FF 3.6.15 and the text on the statusbar is low. What I mean by that is that for instance with the letter g, the bottom half of that is cut off because the line of text on the statusbar is too low.

Does anyone know how I might be able to fix that other than a fresh install of FF? I have a lot of tweaks and stuff that I really don't want to have to do all over again. Thanks.

In the firefox settings you should be able to change the default font text. It might fix everything, try a different font.
