i just loaded it, and then uninstalled. i wanted to see if it indeed extended battery life; without the program, i usually get about 3 hours on a battery (battery life power setting on VAIO, minimum screen brightness, etc). when i used the program, and unplugged, it only showed about 2:15 remaining on the battery. is this normal? i want a program that will extend my battery life for when i want to just watch a DVD....did i not give the program time to do its thing or is there something out there that will not use unecessary power when all i want to use is the dvd drive? thanks.

that will give you about an extra hour.
