I recently bought a Sony Vaio VGN-FZ340E notebook.

I made a fresh installation of Vista Operating system.

Now, the problem is that as soon as i install Sony Notebook Utility, an error message appears such as The battery is not connected. Click OK to hibernate

I have contacted the Sony support people and they replied that as i have changed the pre-installed operating system, there is no guarantee of any drivers/software to work. How can they expect the users to run their notebook with their pre-installed Operating system for life.

    I really need some help.

Note: I am saying this error to occur only on Notebook Utility installation is because i have installed Vista more than 5 times and tested that it is actually due to this software that i am getting this error. I can live without this installation, but my notebook keys, camera won't work.

    Thanks for the reply.

I have already downloaded and installed the notebook utility from the same source you have provided.
I ran the cam and keyboard drivers and they do not work until or unless you run the notebook utility
