I've been trying to access the "themes" options for viewing photos. "Help" tells me that the themes menu is on is on the left side of the slide show tool bar, which should show up on the bottom of the screen in slide show mode. However, every time I select slide show, the photos show up full screen so I'm not able to even see the bar to select themes. Even moving the cursor around keeps it at full screen. Can anyone help? thanks.

Thanks, but still no luck. The pics stay at full screen and the controls never show up, even after moving the cursor around. I would think my graphics card is good enough to show pics in other than basic mode since I got the dedicated NVIDIA 128mb card vs. the Intel integrated graphics. Looks like I need to call Dell.

The Dell Tech support person got it fixed. She had to run some kind of program in Windows that gave it a subscore in the graphics category in the Windows Experience Index (don't ask me to explain what that is). Your computer needs a subscore of 3.0 to run Slide Show themes. Mine scored out at 3.4. She then went into the registry and entered some data, and now the slide show taskbar, with the themes option shows up. I just wanted to post this in case anyone else runs into the same problem when they get their Vostro. You'll need to call Dell to get it to work.
