I recently reformatted my system, and has since reinstalled all my programs. All of them seem to work smoothly except for IE7. If I enter an URL, it would automatically redirect me to FF. It look like IE6 even though it says IE7 under about. However, when I open RSS feeds in FF to "External Application", the actual IE7 appears. Also, no matter how many times I re-install, I can't fix these problems are still there. I tried typing iexplore in the run window and the result was the same (as in I couldn't use it). True, this isn't a big problem since I use FF 99.99% of the time, but I still need IE for those few websites that require Active X... Any Ideas?

did you try uninstalling IE 7 before reinstalling it?

has to be done throught control panel/show windows updates i believe

also, check settings within firefox also.

I know this isn't directly answering your question, but you can use an extension that loads IE browser within FF tab, this is a link to it: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1419/
so you don't really need IE again

Thanks for the that suggestion, but I already have the add-on. It works great, but I still want to fix this, as it is a problem. I don't know why IE6 is still there; I uninstalled it from add/remove windows components. Anyways, I try the re-install thing again.
