So as somewhat of a specific question, I am looking to find out has anyone here successfully run Solidworks 2007 or 2008 with hardware acceleration enabled on a laptop using an Nvidia Geforce 8600M GT or 8800M GTX?

Not looking for a "This should work" answer so much as a "Yes I have that running and can verify that it does in fact work."

Also if you do have this running I would appreciate knowing what operating system you're using, XP/Vista, 32/64 bit and suchlike. Also whether it just worked out of the box or whatever all particular effort you had to go to in order to get it running or whatever.

I'm about to sink a bunch of money into a laptop and I'd like a definitive answer on this before I decide which direction I want to go cards-wise.

If anyone can help me out I would totally appreciate it.
