So thanks to all the helpful people here Vista is now TOO PERFECT!

I greatly miss the sweet sense of accomplishment that accompanies every fixed issue. Currently there is just nothing to fix!

So do you guys think that I'm crazy/mad/out of my mind...? :p

    P.S. I hope I'm not jinxing myself.

Its a good think you've got your computer tweaked to your liking...maybe if you want that sweet sense of accomplishment after a fixed issue then untweak something and retweak it :)

Don't worry, something else will go wrong. My Vista machine recently stopped playing all media. Time to try out that system restore.

I don't know. People talk about Vista all the time, but in time you will fall in love with it. I think it is better than XP now (if you have the right computer components).

Indeed vista is a good os, over all its is greatly improved over xp. Keep in mind that its the first time since nt4.0 that ms has completely redone the kernal from the group up it will only continue to improve.

But does the system shut down correctly? I used to have this error with XP. Random error messages just pop up when I shut down the computer; however, there is no real problems as far as I can tell.

That sounds like a lingering registry entry to me. I take it you've run CCleaner....interesting.

I've run CCleaner but not for the registry. I'm afraid i'll do something to mess it up.

I think I'd run it Calvin....it let's you back up the registry before changing it....I've found it to be pretty safe.

CCleaner will automatically ask you to backup the registry before fixing registry errors. It takes less than a second to do that. Furthermore, I never have any problem with the registry cleaner.

You can run it and not clean it, too, just to see what it finds.

There's a link on my website to the settings I use for CCleaner, but that link points back here anyway, so here it is for convenience.
