This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hi. My laptop (its the little one you can fit in your back pocket) has suddenly developed this problem- when it boots there was a graphic on the desk top that showed you the status of the LAN, wireless and bluetooth. Now that doesn't appear, but a grey area of the same size and shape where the graphic used to be does!

    Any ideas how I can fix this? What driver I need to replace? I've just upgraded to W7 but the problem existed beforehand....
