I downloaded 3 DVDs in Rar format and it has 204 parts. I opened up WinRar to extract them but it says it is going to take 55 hours to extract them especially since I have a fairly powerful computer.

I think this is a really long time. Does anyone have experience with this?

It is in rar though not zip.

I just scandisked and defragged two days ago as well.

I don't know what was wrong with WinRar but I used 7-Zip and it worked perfectly. http://7-zip.org/ Took about 45 minutes.

Try and Open/View the RAR contents (204 parts) and put them in a Folder maybe 20 or 40 at a time instead of extracting all at once.
