Several different brand of notebooks suffer from an overly sensitive touch pad. What happens is you will happily be typing along when suddenly your cursor will move several words back or a line up overwriting what you have already typed. Just making a mess of things.

I ran into a free program called touchfreeze. touchfreeze runs in the background and you dont even know its there. It cures this most annoying problem once and for all.

I am posting it here because it has fixed 2 of my laptops. no more skipping cursor. Hopefully it will help someone.
