Is there a program out there that allows opening an entire video file and simply cutting it up, with the audio, into smaller segments.

I've backed up most of my dvds to my hard drive but tv show seasons are a pain because each disk is treated as one huge video file. I'm compressing them into mkv containers with h264 video and aac audio. I'd like to cut out each episode individually if possible.

    Anybody have any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

It's good for what it does... combining photos and videos into a quick and ez video with menus and effects.

AVI DeMux is the better choice if the video files are MPEG or in anything other than AVI container. VirtualDub is real good for AVI.

edit: I see you need MKV support. Definately look at AVI DeMux.
