I am missing the show desktop icon of XP and Vista in Windows 7.

I know the Window key + M shorcut but any way to get it back?

The icon is on the very right. It's not really an icon... more a transparent button. (press the space on the right of the time)

Is there any way to duplicate that button, say over to the LEFT side of the taskbar?

If you do Windows + Spacebar it does Aero Peek

Windows + D hides all windows and then restores them

FWIW, those shortcuts work on Vista as well.

On a side note, in case any of you had the same problem as me...I had changed my theme accidentally to Windows 7 Basic, so Aero Peek, Flip3D and stuff weren't working. But I fixed it and I am LOVING 7 so far!

Yeah, windows 7 uses "Aero Peek" instead of Show desktop(win+d)
