I run my HP Slate 500 OC'd to 2.2ghz in Windows 7, using SetFSB. I have donated for both my Acer and my Slate. I have loaded W8 in dual boot mode on my Slate and have attempted to overclock it with SetFSB. The program runs fine in shareware mode (will not reset the FSB). It will not, however, recognize my key. When I type in the key, it comes up with the shareware/donation screen and asks for a donation. When I go back to W7 mode, it is fine and runs perfectly, OC'd at 2.2 ghz.

So, here's my question. Anybody try to run SetFSB in W8? Successfully? I have emailed Abo-San but I'm not sure he understands my problem.

If you donated, Abo will issue you a new Key. I have done a few reinstalls and he has always sent me a new key. I believe he just cross checks with a list of people who have donated. My guess is you need a new Key since you did a new install of SetFSB. I always use Set FSB on my benchmarking SSD, and so I don't need a key very often as I keep an image of the drive, but when I have needed one he always came through.
