It just dawned on me, that all my installs on my new laptop went into the "os install" partition (c drive).
But the data (d drive) is the one I need to use (as it has all the space).
How can I get it all to move without any problems?

Ok its in 2 partitions, but is there a way to combine them or something?

Please help quickly as this is annoying, and thanks in adavance

Well, you could slice some of the space off of the d:\ partition and then reallocate it to the c:\ partition, or you could uninstall the apps you meant to install on the d:\ partition, and then reinstall them onto the d:\ partition. That is about the scope of your alternatives here.

Problem with just moving them is all the program registry entries and shortcuts are going to point to the old C: location.

Really there is no easier way than to uninstall and install them again that I can think of.

I tried to do the "slice and add method" last night, but I couldn't add to C.
And when I tried installing something to d:\, like steam, it "prepared" by making a folder in c:\....

What tool did you use? It is not as simple as just slice and add. You need to:

    1. Slice off some of the D: partition. (This will create unallocated space AFTER the D: partition.)
      Looking at a map: [C:] - [D:] - [empty space]
    2. Move the D: partition down so that the now unallocated space created by step one is AFTER the C: partition.
Now the map looks like: [C:] - [empty space] - [D:]
    3. Add the unallocated space to the C: partition.

Nope, the built in tool does not support that. Easus, BootIT NG and Gparted will all do this though. I think Easus and Gparted are free.
