Allright, my parents just bugh a huge LCD TV, and I want to connect the laptop to it to watch movies and maybe play some games. The deal is that I can connect my Sager 5791 to it, I can get the image...but what about audio? do I need another cable or how does this work? It`s the first time I`ve ever been curios how a game would look like on a huge tv,and so far , there is no sound, just image...
    Help? :)

The S video cable does not carry the audio signal. Connect the audio out of your laptop to the audio inputs of the TV. You may need some sort of adapter as the TV will most likely have RCA connectiors.

your headphone jack is usually your audio out (unless you have a "Line Out" jack or are using an external sound card).

therefore, you need a 1/8"-to-? converter, the "?" being whatever type of input you have on your Audio In on the tv, receiver, whatever.

Well, what I`m asking, how can I port the sound directly to the Tv? I mean, since i`m using the image, might as well use the sound also...
I`ll see if I can accomplish your sugestions. Thanks :)

    huh?

those aren't suggestions. if you want sound from your computer pushed through a receiver or tv, that's how you do it.

otherwise you can plug headphones into the jack or just use your computer speakers
