    Hello,

I have a small .bat file that I want to run on start up (it modifies the way my HD runs using HDParm). However, for the .bat file to work, I have to run it as the administrator. When running on start up, I can find no way to do this and the .bat file gets "permission denied".

Anyone know how to get around this?

Have you looked into running the BAT file inside Task Scheduler? This way you might be able to add more requirements into as how the BAT should be run.

    cheers ...

Right click and on vista in compatibility tick run as admin. (not sure if it works on bats)

    Drop into startup folder.
