Anyone had any success using vmware converter to convert Vista into a vitual file? Everything went fine until I came into the "source log". Using my default user name, I get "Unable to determine guest OS" and when in guest - "you do not have privilages right". I google online and came across another forum stating vmware is not vista compatitble yet and I should use workstation instead.

Before going crazy, any there anyone here running vista inside ubuntu? With what software and how? Thanks.

I can dual-boot with no problem but would like to run but os at the same time but with linux as the host.

Edit: opps wrong board, please move this thread into the linux section. Thanks
