I am in the process of putting all of my cds onto my computer. I have run into problems with a few oh 5 or so that are not recognized by the computer at all, it just says nothing is in the drive. Im using windows media player to rip them im wondering if it is this program causing the trouble I dont know why they are not regognized at all?

My guess would be copy protection stuff. I would head over to CDFreaks.com. There is some knowledgeable people over there.

Have you tried Nero? It's good at ripping CDs. Not once had a problem with copy protected music disks. Then again, they might have not been using the newest protection methods.
