    Hey guys,

I have an old Fujitsu notebook which I'm going to sell. I already backed up My Documents. How do I restore everything to factory settings?

As in delete all my records on the computer and everything, as if it were brand new?

    Thanks...

Do you have so-called "recovery disks" that came with the system when it was originally sold? If so, then you should have an installable factory image; otherwise, you'll have to go with whatever backup or installation media you have (which will probably not be the same as the OEM original image).

Getting rid of everything you've saved on it is another matter entirely. To go that, you're going to have to use some sort of disk wiping/erasing software - there are several good freeware utilities for doing that listed in the Free Software stickie at the top of the forum. Try those out. Keep in mind, these will almost certainly wipe out whatever OS installation you've got right now, so don't nuke the disk until you're sure you have a backup or recovery image you can use to restore the OS.
