Okay so for quite a while, I have not turned off my laptop even at night. I basically just lock my laptop and its basically on everyday. Reason for this is because not log ago, when i turned on my laptop, it didn't turn on. Then it suddenly did. But I do not want to risk not being to turn on my laptop since im outside the US now.
Now few times i have restarted my laptop. My question is whether i restart my laptop or power off and then power on... any startup processes and things like that would appear completely the same right? Because i see lot of background processes where many of them repeat itself... like broker and samsung magician.
Can anyone here confirm if i turn off my laptop... then power it back on... the task manager would have the same exact processes shown as if i were to restart? Again i haven't turned off my laptop in quite some time as I don't want to risk my computer not turning on since im outside the US at the moment.

See your other thread. The same junk of course would be there with a reboot / power cycle because it's in your startup.

Interesting, my laptop asks to restart every time there is a MS update which is quite often. Doesn't yours do that?
Also, I have a theory that leaving the laptop on all the time may affect components longevity.Last edited: Oct 14, 2021 -

Since we have no info what kinda of Laptop or O/S version you have no one is going to know what is happening here. How would you expect anyone here to confirm something they can't see in person or know what is happeing?
