Hi. I'm sure this topic has already been brought up many times so i was just wondering if someone could direct me to a thread or link that would tell me the procedures of how to properly re-format my new laptop with xp including how to backup all the drivers, backup all the info i need, etc.

Basically, I just bought a new laptop pre-loaded with vista but i hate how it comes with all that bloatware and plus i like xp much more than vista so thats why i want to re-format with xp. please help. thanks!

Ehhh... not sure about backing up Vista (I would hope your new computer comes with everything you need to re-install if later if you want to).

As for installing XP, it's as basic as putting the XP disc in, rebooting, and let it boot to CD. Delete all partitions on your drive (of course you backed any needed data up first, right?). Create new one for XP and install XP. Boom, your done.

what's your model ? i think you need find sriver for your machine in website of factories first , if it have , download all of them and then reinstalling XP .
Your can back up driver of Win Vista but i'm not sure it can compatible with XP . In some events it can run , but some event it don't work .
