Hey ya'll, i recently backed up my music files and reformated my computer last night. This afternoon i restored my backup files and everything went smoothly. When i renamed my old music files to "ripped songs" my old songs wont play on my media player  . i had to rename it to the original title "music files" then it works. Does anyone have any suggestions?!? thanks in advance..

are these songs that you purchased? How did you open the songs? Did you drag the songs over to your media player, or do you open your media player, and choosed from your media player's library?

the only thing i can thing of is to back up your licenses under the old folder's name and then restore them once you have renamed the new folder.

I'm not 100% if that will work, but generally your licenses for your music files have to be in the same location as your music. So if you changed the name of your folder, then probalby your licenses are still showing up as the old folder's name and not your current one.
