Me and my friend both have the same versions of Windows is there any way I can install his 64 bit (retail disk) over my prexisting 32 bit one? I plan on using ABR Orevs clean install kit thing and Im pretty sure it will work because it will be similar to clean install. I just want to hear some ideas, so if anyone knows anything give me a heads up.

    Thanks.

IF your own licence is valid for the 64bits, sure.

You can try it, but it might be rejected if it is an OEM key.

I believe you can order one of those Anytime Upgrade disc's from Microsoft for a low cost of around $10 (USD). I've used that to install Vista on my desktop and laptop, and if you already have a license key then you should be good to go.

You will probably need to get the disc from Lenovo.

I am not aware of their policy, but Dell sends them out for free.

Probably not, depends on if they have their disc locked down or not.
