I just got an external monitor for my Thinkpad T400 w/ ATI HD3470. Native is 1440x900 and I run it at 75hz.

I am dual booting with WIN 7 and Vista. For some reason when I reboot with Vista, the display is SUPER blurry. The monitor detects the resolution 1440x900 @ 75hz (what I want), but it looks TERRIBLE.

The only way I can fix it is going into the Catalyst controls, forcing refresh rate to 60 (boom its clear), then back to 75, and it's fine. This problem does not occur with WIN 7 and I can reboot into clarity with mentioned settings.

I have tried this with the default monitor drivers, as well as my LG drivers. I mean I can fix it but it's annoying to have to resort to this process after each startup.

    Any help would be great

    edit:
don't have this issue when running at 60hz and rebooting. Rebooting at 75hz is blurry, only way to resolve is to set it to 60, then back to 75. 60 is overall more clear, although I prefer 75 as I game (and peace of mind). I've read (poor) VGA cables can cause blurriness at higher refresh rates- I'm running VGA. T400
