    Recovery/Image DVD?

    Hello All;
    I have windows Xp Sp2 and there was no recovery DVD that came with the laptop.I know I can make an image with Ghost or something.But can I make that image bootable and burn it on a DVD so in case of any problems I can just pop it and boot it to make the system exaclt like it was when the syetm was made with all the installed softwares,files etc are like it is now?Is there a software which can do this?

    Aren't those for slip streaming drivers to XP cd?I am looking to make for the image of the system to be bootable so it can be the snap shot of system as present.
    or may be I am writing it wrongly :(

    OK....
    Once you've got your PC all cleaned up, tweaked out and customized the way you want it, you can run Ghost from a boot disk (floppy or CD) and write out the compressed Image file to a DVD for permanent storage. If you boot up with a DOS boot floppy, like my Ghost boot disk, Ghost will offer to put it on the DVD for you thus making it a Bootable Restore Disk.

    The Ghost backup will still work, even if you have to boot up the PC with a separate boot disk.

    Oh great,that was what I was looking for.Will this DVD so made have Ghost in itself?So a boot off it will do the rest?And what is there has to be 3-4 DVD's?Just pop it one after other?

    I am sorry i used ghost on my last laptop....not anymore....i dont really remember....but i think u wud be better off using DL DVDs....

    Started with NG12 and seems to be working.4 DVD's used so far :).I hope they are bootable :)
