Long story short: I lost my bank card, I don't live in Canada so i can't replace it, and firefox has my only copy of the number stored.

I need the card number to get into my bank account online. Firefox has it stored, and I can get in fine now, but the middle numbers are ****'d out, so I can't copy it down.

This is the only reason I have installed my new copy of 7 yet. Does anyone know how to recover the number from the browser? I don't get why the login would be starred in the first place.

    Ideas?

Since you can login to your account fine now. You can get your account # there.

Call your bank, they are normally really helpful. I have lost a couple of cards overseas and had very prompt service

No, I lost my access card number. I know my password, bank account number and wire information.

If I was at home, I could simply get a new card, but that's not an option here. I called the bank, and they said they have to cancel lost cards. If they cancel it, I can't even login with what I have now. I don't go back to Canada for 9 months, this is going to be annoying. I can't even send a relative to fix it for me.

I guess I'll have to suck it up by the looks of things. It's just stupid, why block out a login number? That's starring out my username when I login here.

Are the **** numbers under the saved passwords or is it part of a webpage?

just move the whole firefox folder in application data to your windows 7 installation, (assuming they store the usernames and passwords there).

The login/card info is starred for a reason, so that someone who had unauthorized access could not just copy the info. Because of that, this thread is closed because discussion of bypassing those security measures is prohibited by the forum rules.

I suggest that you keep on contacting the bank and try someone higher up...they might be able to make some accommodations to keep a customer.
