Hello everyone! I have an ASUS ROG STRIX GL702ZC and I just did a format because I wanted it to be clean before the working season. Screenshot (2).png After the format these two audio devices just refused to accept any Realtek drivers, I tried to install the ones that ASUS provides, the ones from Realtek's official site and even some updated 2020/21 ones from softpedia, but nothing worked, the drivers kept on being these microsoft ones and they are listed as Audio Endpoint as seen here. Screenshot (5).png
The only "device" that appears to be taking in the drivers i install is the one under the sound, video controllers. Screenshot (6).png I need some opinions or some help because these drivers made the sound unbearable and the mic unusable. Thanks in advance

There is a specific order in which you have to install drivers after a fresh format/reinstall OS.
Check the Asus FAQs and see if there is anything there about it.
If not, shoot asus support an email (or gawd forbid call them) and ask about the correct install order.
You'll probably have to reinstall winderz to get it right.

Make sure to right-click on the files you just downloaded, go to Properties, then hit Unblock from the bottom right as it may be blocked since it was downloaded from the internet, if you don't do this before you run the file or extract it, then it may not install correctly due to insufficient privileges.

To prevent this automatic blocking of files in the future so you don't have to go unblocking every file you download to ensure it runs properly, check the guide in this thread:

That is your correct driver, direct from asus.
There was no need to create another thread.
If it doesn't install correctly, reformat again....you messed up something.

    Oh btw.
If you're going all over the interwebz thinking there is some other fix ?
    There isn't.
Don't try unknown drivers from some random website.
Never know what you'll get....it might be the driver, and it might be a rootkit that bypasses any and all detectors.

most likely at least the Win10 v2004 version since the screenshots mention 10.0.19041.x

here are links to other Realtek HD audio drivers the OP might use on his ASUS laptop - these are direct from ASUS (newer than the provided 8248 driver)

    v6.0.8761.1
    v6.0.8746.1
