Hi, I have 2GB of ram, and i just got a 1GB Memorex Mini Drive.
Well when i try to use readyboost, i cant, it says it failed the speed test.
    Is that true?

Because i think it might be because i didnt install the software that came with it, and i deleted it. So i might have t download the software so i can use it.

Or does is it just lame and wont work?

The real question should be: "who cares". With 2GB of RAM, readyboost isn't going to do anything.

What he said above! If it fails the test, then the flash drive doesn't have the performance needed for ReadyBoost.
Dont bother with ReadyBoost. With 2GB of RAM, adding more "cache" will speed up application launch times only by a fraction of a second.

For shiggles, format the flash drive to NTFS and see if it works.
