I was wondering if its worth using ReadyBoost in a SD slot? I don't have a card picked out or anything but was wondering if it would help in things like battery life by not needing the HDD as much or speed by using the card more? I know there is plenty of speculation posts about ReadyBoost so to be more specific I want to know if having the Card Reader on and working will hurt battery life more than a USB drive and if ReadyBoost makes a difference once its being used for battery life or speed. The system would probably have 2GB's of RAM and the card would also be 2GB's.

From what I've gathered ReadyBoost isn't really worth bothering at the moment, certainly not with system with 2GB RAM. On systems with less RAM then ReadyBoost can be beneficial.

same question here..?? has anyone had a significant boost??

No. At point I actually noticed decrease in background service. Might be just me though, and, then again, I am running on 2 gigs of RAM.

Did it help battery life at all?
