Recently I decided I needed to buy Microsoft Office(for Excel because I am taking a class on it). Anyway, I already have Corel Office suite on my laptop and the cds--can I resell it on eBay?

Also, my Microsoft Office suite purchased from my school says I can install it only two times. Once I installed it once on my comp, can I give it to any person(a friend) to install on theirs? Will we both be able to use it at the same time?

thanks! Ive spent so much money on these softwares that I am hoping I can get some money back by re-selling.

Yes, you can both use it at the same time, doesn't matter who and what computer you install Office into.

Okay, thanks for answering my 2nd question.

How about the 1st one, if I have the Corel Office Suite CD and I no longer want it, can I resell it to somebody else?

Hey, I just notice when I installed Microsoft Office today that it asks me to do Internet Activation and stuff to avoid piracy of this software. Does this mean I cannot give it to my friend to install on his computer after I installed it on mines(the software allows up to two installs).

Please let me know because I dont want to "rip" my buddy off

    Is it an academic edition?

From MS past EULA agreements, i can say that you get two installs per household. Legally you are not permitted to sell it to another user. Having your buddy stay in your household might work though :p

Well, if you installed it once, then let your friend install it the second time. But he'll have to do all the Internet Activation too.

Well, I bought the software from my university but it is the actual Office Professional Edition, not the Teacher and Student Edition. On the disks they all have the "Microsoft Licensing" logo and then the description of the actual software in small black letters. What does this mean?

Actually my friend lives in my hometown and not near me. Should I just buy him a brand new disk at the student discount and send it to him, OR can I save him money and I just send him my current disk

The actual Office Professional Edition is actually more restrictive
    Read the EULA

IF I sell a new copy to him and to my family, even though it is not technically allowed, will I get in big trouble because it is technically a resale.

This conversation isn't going anywhere legal at all. If you have serious concerns, don't do it or contact MS first. Bottom line: you can't share a license with someone else and you need to talk with your school or MS regarding reselling educational versions of the software.
