This is the same thing as the priorities and affinity in task manager. It's basically an application which sets these settings. if you find setting prioirties and affinity in task manager is useful, this program will be useful for you.

    Old thread.

I think before you decide to try something like this, you need to examine why it is necessary. Are you experiencing slowdowns? Is your CPU jacked up to 100% constantly? What processes are doing that?

Why? Now all context from the old discussion is lost and anyone coming to the new thread cannot in any way benefit from the prior discussions? I've seen this policy of not resurrecting old threads before, but the logic escapes me. There may be a very good reason for this, but I would think that if it MUST be done, a link to the prior thread ought to be added to the new one. And one added to the old thread to point to the new one.

I use priorities and affinity in combination sometimes on my quadcore computer when encodinng videos bogs down my available and limited CPU power. The usefullness of this program is purely dependant on what you're doing on your computer.

Maybe we should put your observation and recommendation in the Site Suggestion Section :D

I agree with your mentioning above ;)

Still in this case not so much "previous" discussion has been lost since the OP corresponds to the thread title :D - a tool, a query about the app and its usage.

    cheers ...
