I've looked everywhere and can't find the answer. Does anyone know if the .VHD's created using the 64-bit version of Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 can be run by Virtual PC 2007 32-bit?

Are we talking about a "guest's" machine here? If so, then no! Have you looked into HyperV?

    cheers ...

It should as Virtual PC doesn't support 64bit guests only 64bit hosts machines...

So the end result should be the same stuff on a 32bit and 64bit host.

How do you shrink the growing vhd? I use it only for testing so things are usually uninstalled and deleted afterwards but it still grows over 1GB bigger than before.

First off, May I say you should drop virtual pc and get virtual box which is much better in my opinion. Second, I don't think that a 32-bit Host can support a 64-bit OS. I may be wrong. Just from my experience.
