    Program to save/Restore Desktop Session after crash (reopening running processes, programs, etc)?

    So on ubuntu 10.4 and before that, you could use Gnome to restore all your opened windows, programs, running processes, etc when you shutdown and restart the computer.
    This is basically like the Hibernate function on windows xp, however, this works automatically in the background, constantly caching all your stuff. Also unlike XP hibernation, this works after a crash too, you do not need to properly shutdown your computer using the hibernation button because like i said i think it constants caches in the background.

    IS there any way or program that does this in windows XP? i was multitasking, opening multiple windows and programs and my computer froze and i had to hold the power button to restart it, now i forgot some of what was working on. Now i need something that provides this function just like a hibernate but restores everything on crashes too.
