    Problem with system restore

    on w7 64 bit, it goes through the motions but on the reboot I get message that recovery not done because files can not be recovered? I have avast and privatefirewall installed. Thanx

    Did you try a different restore point? Also, disable your AV and Firewall, sometimes those can conflict with a system restore. Another thing you can try is to run the system restore in safe mode. Let me know if this helps. :)

    Try disabling Avast and/or your firewall and try.

    what I did was install Comodo time machine as an alternative recovery program. SR only worked once in many tries, CTM worked great first time out. Takes up a little more space but have much to spare.
