    Problem with homepage/Internet Browser

    I allowed a friend to use my ThinkPad and now when I boot up & open with explorer I get http:// .google.com
    How can I get rid of this?

    First, get rid of your "friend" for carelessly allowing spyware to infect your Thinkpad. Download, update the definitions, and run a full scan with Malwarebytes Anti-Spyware. Have MBAM clean out (repair) all the spyware it found. Reset your IE homepage. Get new, safer friend. Learn lesson and quit lending your Thinkpad out.

    I suspect he needs instructions on how to set his homepage.

    Go to control panel > internet options.

    On the GENERAL tab, type what ever you want to be your homepage in the box (or click DEFAULT) than click the OK button
