So I started up my computer today and opened AIM 6.5. However, several features of it are missing and after uninstalling/reinstalling it multiple times, as well as changing to different versions of Aim 6, I haven't been able to fix it. The color themes do not show up and buddy statuses do not show up when I scroll over their names. Also, when the AIM window is docked, other windows do not recognize this, and instead of resizing appropriately, take up the full screen, either blocking the buddy list or being hidden behind it partially.

Any clue how to fix this?

a little research shows that AIM 6.5 and vista don't get along. it's possible this is the problem you are experiencing. the ONLY current solution is a reformat. there is a workaround floating around about modifying your security policy by linking certain services and groups together, but unfortunately, the people who keep pushing that workaround are not also informing users that it makes for a large security hole and is wholeheartedly NOT recommended.

if, in fact, you are suffering from the AIM 6.5/Vista issue, i suggest you brush off your reinstall disc. it's what i had to do.

Thanks for the replies. I've already been using adhack without any issues and I'm running XP MCE, so the vista compatibility isn't an issue. I'll try reinstalling it again today and see how it turns out.
