is it possible to make win 7 dim as much as the dim in MacOS?

I am trying out even 0% brightness, but it seems like it is not much difference from 100%

Instead of dimming the display so much I would turn it off. The brightness depends upon your LCD hardware.

Have you tried using your keyboard to change the brightness? It's usually a function (Fn) key combination.

LOL, that brightness thing scared me at first. I thought it was a malfunction before I realized it was a feature. :)

I think he is talking about the auto-dimming function of Win7.

Same here. Freaked me out at first, since I have one of the dreaded NVIDIA chip model Vaios.

I think the feature is driver or BIOS dependent... I have a Studio 1537 with a Radeon 3450 and the feature is missing on my computer. I've searched everywhere in power options and googled online, and I cannot for the life of me find out how to enable it.
