My main problem is specifed at this link

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/win...puter-wont-work-blue-screen-bsod-startup.html

The UBUNTU solution I didn't know what to do. I don't know how to boot a os system using UBUNTU program stored on a mp3 usb. Can it be done? I am unable to create a cd because the cdrom drive on my old computer is not working as I talked about before in the link above.

So I have moved onto an alternative idea of trying to access my files via command prompt and then move enough files over to an external drive to free up enough space to perform the "Restore Operating System & Retain User Data". I suppose the first thing I would like to know is how much free hard disk space do I need for the temp files for this to work?

But at the moment that dosen't matter as I cannot access my files in command prompt.
I use my user name "m". and when I go to users dir it dosen't appear
All I get is 3 options "." ".." & "Public". When I go to the program files the folders in the directory are very different than the programs I had on my computer. When I type in "hostname" I get a name I am not familar with. Basically I cannot find any of my files it seems it's someone else's harddrive. However, when I perform a disk check "chkdsk D: /r "it sounds right. I'm referring to the hard disk space available, number of files and free space. But all chkdsk scans end with "Failed to transfer logged messages to the event log with status 50". Has my computer been hacked? Because the destination paths don't exist for "m" it should be something like this I think "x>users>m>". I have no idea about this type of stuff. Am I in the wrong drive or something? Because none of files are here because the directories and folders don't exist according to command prompt. Please help very urgent. Thank you.
