    Hi Guys,

I am wondering is there is anyway to prevent the windows explorer window from opening when connecting an eSATA drive. I have a 500GB external with 7 partitions and it is really annoying when windows just opens up 7 different windows for each partition everytime I connect the drive to my computer.

    Thanks in advance!

You need to disable Autoplay for all your drives. I'd recommend disabling autoplay period, as in for all CD/USB/HDD media. What OS do you have?

    Are you using Windows Vista?

    Download Winbubble, Here's my thread.

Go to security Tab. and Click "Disable Autoplay in all types of Media"

    That's it!

There are ways to do it with TweakUI for XP, though with XP Pro you can do it by running the GroupPolicyEditor. For Vista, not sure, but its probably a registry setting.
