XP's powertoys calculator was perfect. However, I can't get it to work on Vista, and there are no equivalent gadgets that I have been able to find. Any recommendations? I am an intermediate tech person, meaning I know my way around a computer but anything involving programing or jargon is a tad beyond me. Thanks!

bump? thanks

Try running the compatibility as XP in properties.
-
How do I do that?
-
get in powertoys calc > right click > properties > compatibility tab
-
I did that on the downloaded file, but didn't do anything.
-
What do you mean on the downloaded file?
-
"downloaded file"???
You have to do it on powertoys calc, whereever it is.... -
Just right click Powertoys, then properties, then Compatibility tab, then check "Run this program in compatibility for Windows XP"

someone suggested speedcrunch on another site and it has now replaced the powertoy calc for me
