    IDK why? Mine is 17 Seconds but i'm working on it. I guess just use a stopwatch to see how long.

    About 16, 17 seconds if I haven't used the notebook for long. If I have played a game or something, maybe 20 or so.

    Strangely enough, Vista shuts down much faster than Windows 7 does, usually around 12 seconds or so, if I haven't used it much.

    I think it's about time I edited that WaitToKill service.

    12 seconds to screen out but power light off at about 14 seconds.........

    11 seconds on my dm3t, just a tad under 9 on my desktop

    Ha, well it's in the ballpark of 3 and 5, close enough. :D

    I can get it down to about 1 second if I don't have the battery in, and I yank out the power cord, lol. :rolleyes:

    8 seconds here.
    But i modified my registry to do that.
    I think 8 seconds is generally more than enough, and I make sure I never have stuff I need unsaved at shutdown anyway.
    No problems.
