I had uploaded some 8 MP pictures from my camera. When I view the full screen slideshow with Vista photo gallery, the pictures are all pixelated and distorted. But the pictures look fine in the preview. It looks like a problem with vista slideshow settings. Because the full screen slideshow with Picasa 3.0 is just fine. I am using vista home premium.

Has anyone ever experienced this problem?

What screen resolutions are you guys using? Mine is 1280x800. Vista slide show tries to maximize the image to fit the screen, I guess, kind of distorts the picture.

Yeah I am using 1920X1200 as well, and it doesn't try to full screen on me unless I tell it to. ;) :D

NOTE: Besides, at 1280X800 an 8 MP camera should look perfectly fine, seeing as the picture resolution should be almost as high as the computer's!! lol

I didn't mean full screen. Vista tries to do something with the pictures. The same pictures look just fine with Picasa slideshow. And an 8 MP resolution is much higher than 1280x800. I think that it's the compression that makes pictures distorted.

Hm... well I'm not sure about the compression you are talking about...

And yeah sorry I misread the MP # that I calculated to be 10,024,000 when it is actually 1,024,000. >.< My bad!
