The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Picture editing help!!

    OK I finally finished my review for my Sony FE. I took all the pictures I wanted.

    PROBLEM: All of the pictures are 2816 x 2112 and 2.8mb each!

    I need to somehow get these so its acceptable for the NotebookReview server to upload them.

    Ha, I don't have photoshop.

    I did change the setting in the camera itself to its lowest quality but it still produces images too high.

    Advice?

    Maybe a free file hosting server that accepts large files?

    or download irfanview (free, and easy). this gives you more control over the resize, from my experience with Photobucket they knock them really small, smaller than you probably want.

    Irfanview is amazing. I have photoshop and still use irfan constantly because it is so small and so powerful, and I can get things done quickly resizing wise.
