    Photoshop on mac os or windows 7?

    considering both laptops having the same specs
    would photoshop run smoother on mac os or windows 7

    mac os on a mac
    windows 7 on normal laptop

    Win7 by a long shot
    No mac tax means you can pick up an SSD drive and more RAM and better hardware all the way around with which to run it.

    With similar hardware, they perform similarly. Every comparison advantage from either side I have seen at work can be simply explained due to the users' familiarity or lack thereof with one OS or another.

    Note I work at a web development company and we can see them side-by-side.

    Despite what I have seen (similar performance) our PC users actually get MORE work done than our Mac users as measured by their managers. (granted this could be simply lazy mac users)

    Until CS5 Windows was the only platform with 64bit Photoshop.

    If your using CS4 or under and want to use more than ~4GB of RAM for the program I would use Windows.
