I would like to make all drives such as sd and usb disabled whenever I swipe and lock the computer. Then have them up and running again when I swipe to unlock it. Is there a registry tutorial or a program that does this.

Not unless you also scramble them. Especially portable drives.

I want to disable the cd/dvd player and the usb ports and the sd card reader so no one can remove or add software to the computer when I am not at my work station. I want to be able to do this with the swipe of a finger.

If your not at your machine then the swipe of the finger should incorporate alt-ctrl+del and then lock your pc...

If your that worried someone will use the said devices then just lock the whole lot.

Thanks for the info. I also put a free cd/dvd locker on it. My brother had to send a computer out for repair because someone changed a password and locked it. We never had a problem before this.
