This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Leave OS to manage the pagefile, done.

    And yes, that's still the best choice today in the time of 4GB of RAM and more.

    although that article was 'revised' in 03/2010, it still only talks about winXP and server 2003.

    memory management in win7 and server2008 is pretty much different than those 10 year old systems.....
