I want to my overclock ati mobility radeon 9700 128mb, i tried the omega driver but it nod good because doom 3 doesnt work properly with it.
I want a software that will jus overclock and if possible detect
    the maximum

    I used ATITool on my MR9600: http://www.techpowerup.com/atitool/

It has a feature to detect maximum limits, as well as an artifact checker and the ability to save different profiles and load them with Windows.

As a note, overclocking will almost always cause some weird effects with the DooM3 HUD, as that particular game seems to be very sensitive to overclocking. But I think the performance difference is generally worth it.

It COULD fry if there weren't enough ventilation, but I can't comment on your laptop, as I do really know much about it.

It varies from 15-50 minutes depending on CPU + RAM + Amount of undervoltage
