A decent amount of times (1/3), when I run Gmail on Opera, there is an error where Opera has to shut down and restart. No other websites do this.

    Similar experiences?

The TSR programs running are Zone alarm and AVG AV.

Check Zone Alarm to see if Opera is configured properly. In order to get FF and Opera to display images properly I had to disable Privacy. It's a one-click fix, and helped me out. That's probably not your issue, but it wouldn't hurt. Plus, Opera and FF block popups and ZA will do the rest anyway, I don't mind the occasional image properly displaying when I ask it to.
